Hills and valleys

Hotondmolen

Getuigenheuvels

The highest hills in the Flemish Ardennes are the getuigenheuvels: imposing remains from an era, millions of years ago, when the Flemish Ardennes bordered the sea.

Ronse is surrounded on several sides by these beautiful hills. Kluisberg, Hotondberg, Hembelberg and Muziekberg are witnesses of this geological past and they give Ronse a unique panorama.

Hotondberg

Hotond Mill, of which only the bottom survives, stands on the highest point in East Flanders. It is 150 metres above sea level. The former stone windmill is now a lookout point with an orientation table. A beautiful panorama of the Flemish Ardennes and the Walloon Pays des Collines awaits you.
