Wittentak Chapel was constructed in 1635-36 at the instigation of Ernestine de Ligne. It was completely rebuilt after a serious fire at the end of the 19th century. The chapel is uniquely located at the edge of the Hotondbos forest, and the views are magnificent. This place was chosen by the leisure organisation Pasar as the most beautiful spot in Ronse. A nine-day devotional programme, the novena of Wittentak, still takes place here every year. There is a large parking lot and it's a great place to start a walk on the Getuigenheuvels walking network.
